As stalwarts from the world of arts and culture graced the META Awards night, they made several positive statements that left a lasting impact on the audience. These statements not only reaffirmed their faith in the quest for creative freedom but also evoked the interests of listeners.
Actor Adil Hussain's words were particularly
poignant. He suggested that investing more in the arts and culture would lead
to a natural reduction in the need for law and order. His statement speaks about the transformative power of arts. When we immerse ourselves in the
world of arts, we find ourselves transported to a realm where conflict and chaos
are replaced by peace and tranquility.

Manoj Bajpayee, too, had an important message to share. He impressed upon the audience that the Cultural Renaissance would not be complete without the Resurrection of Theatre. In this era of technology and instant gratification, we often forget the power of live theatre. The stage has a unique ability to bring people together, to create a sense of community, and to inspire us to think beyond ourselves.
Art has the power to heal, to transform, and to
bring about change. It reflects our collective consciousness, our hopes and
dreams, our fears and anxieties. In a world that is increasingly polarized, the
arts have the power to bring people together. They remind us of our shared
humanity, our shared struggles and joys. They give voice to the marginalized,
the oppressed, and the forgotten. They help us understand the world around us
and our place in it.

As Rumi once said, "The wound is
the place where the light enters you." The arts have the power to heal our
wounds, to bring light to the darkest corners of our lives.
